coning tool sandpaper help....

For those of you who have Joe Wood's coning tool, what grit of sandpaper does he recommend starting with? I've had tools in .36, .50 and .58. but sent the directions off when I sold them as I only have .54s now.

Scott,

If you want an even better loading, less break in period, add 600 grit at the end.

Realize that no matter how fine you polish, the grooves from that sandpaper go the opposite direction to the barrel, and are a little rough at first
