I have had cap guns all my life but not any flinters until recently with the TC Hawken. I am posting some picks of a rifle I have and wondering if I can convert it to flint. This rifle is .45 cal. Pedersoli barrel. The lock I do not know about. I have had this rifle close to 20 yrs and has been stored until recently. Shot it a few weeks back and it shoots well. Can I do this without major work? I like a flinter and would love to have another.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I recently changed the Kentucky and Frontier models into flintlocks... Its easy ... remove the lock - screw out the percussion part. Screw in a replacable flash tunnel ... put on a flint lock and voilà...

Would I be able to do the same simple conversion to a CVA Mt rifle? Would everything line up properly once the flint lock was installed?

What part replaces the powder drum & where would I get it?

Fingers crossed....

Nevermind. Did a search & it seems Ive done a full circle as it was well covered on a previous thread. Problem with removing the cva drum.
