converting an unmentionable to muzzleloading

I just picked up an unmentionable (breech loading, rabbit eared) double barrel shotgun in 12 ga. The locks look like muzzleloader left & right locks and the barrels look great. Anyone done the conversion? Any tips? Thanks. Someone ask much the same question earlier but it has been almost a year since the last response, so maybe some new info is available.

Interesting question. Sorry, don't have an answer. Just posting out of curiosity to see if there's an answer. Seems like the major hurdle is closing the breech.

Why convert it? Just buy a pair of Adapters from gunadapters.com and muzzle load it when you want, and breech load it when you want. I have a few of those adapters that I use in my H&R Toppers. Great fun! No they are not traditional but very versatile.

Well manure! My locks have rebounding hammers. Not good for muzzle loading applications.
