I have a thompson/center hawken 45 percussion and I would like to convert to flint. Does any one know if I can simply get an IBS barrel in flint and then buy an after market lock that will fit without alot of cutting on the stock?

Green Mountain makes "drop in" barrels designed for the TC Hawken...have a couple myself and they're outstanding.

Lock: Curious why you wouldn't just use a Thompson Center flint lock assembly instead of an aftermarket brand...they fit the stocks, and since TC's major redesign of them a few years ago, their improved flintlocks work perfectly...have several I shoot year round
