I am thinking about buying a .32 cal Crockett rifle, so I thought it would be cool to have a matching pistol. Anyone have this pistol? How does it shoot? What type of loads can it handle? And last but not least, does it come with a ramrod? and does it attach to the pistol? Thanks.

It is a good shooting little pistol. 20-30 grs of 3f or Pyrodex P, and a patched round ball. It does come with a ramrod, although not a real good one unless the newer ones are better. No it doesn't attach to the gun. I made a LONG short starter that i used to start a ball in the rifle, and to load the pistol. Worked good and just kept it in a loop on the side of my pouch.

I bought the wife a set (rifle and pistol) 4 years ago. They both shoot very well and ironically, use the same load, patch, and ball!

You'll probably have to do some work to get the slop out of the trigger if it bothers you and maybe rework the lock some as well. She shoots similar loads of Goex in hers and uses a .320 cal. ball with .015 spit patch.
