Saw this on another board...

"I ran across this little blurb about poor vision, and thought I'd share:

'I was in the act of firing on the elk...when a ball struck my left thigh... The stroke was very severe.
I instantly supposed that Cruzette had shot me in mistake for an elk as I was dressed in brown leather and he cannot see very well...'

Actually, It is a little know historical fact that Mr. Lewis had recently passed a remark regarding the man's habit of constantly blinking! ::
