very nice, i had him size up a 69 cal minie ball mold for me. hes a great guy, some of the best customer service out there.
 
How do you get the base plug open to let the Minie fall out without banging on the little pins?
 
it opens up easily and seldom do you have to push the pins as it extracts itself most of the time. It falls right off the plug with just a small tap on the block.

sounds real good. I got away from Lyman Moulds because of the loose pin on bottom, went to RCBS and Hensel, 3 moves less.

Don't tap the block,, Tap the handles near the hinge bolt

a side tap on the block is what i meant.I lightly tap (not beat) some mold blocks to release bullets depending on what it takes.They are all different( i have over 100 of them).But your advice is pretty sound.

Eric is awesome! He has worked on a couple of molds for me. If it is not perfect for you, he will buy you a new mold.
