Custom Triggerguard

[Erzulis boat]

This is my first triggerguard, so I kept it simple. This is a "martial" style open bow for my transitional longrifle currently underway.

It is constructed out of brass.

The finials are faceted and rounded, and of my own design. Hopefully it can pass for a somewhat period correct look.

I silver soldered the tower for the crosspin on top. It will utilize a no. 8 fastener on the rear finial.

The toeplate will match the finials.

By the way, Cherry is just about dry (the wood) and I will be rust-bluing it within the next 2 weeks.
