Wow just WOW..The knowledge of you guys, I mean, Historically as well as weapons identification, not to mention the gun smithing expertise is absolutely ASTOUNDING. I have been, for years, and still am in awe of how in-depth the people on this forum have taken thier "hobby"...I'll say it again, I'm just glad to be here on the fringes and be a witness.

For my 2cents, weren't the vast majority of "african trade guns" from belgium, made with backlocks?...just to add thru my research flintlock trade guns were for the "african troops", percussion trade guns were for the "ncos",
