Anyone have any experience with these?
I just got some 375 grain slayers and 300 grain big game sabots.
I'm going to shoot them out of my GPH.
Looking for on game performance and accuracy opinions.

Thanks.

With a sabot, what's most important to me is how well it will shoot out of a cold, clean barrel. I'm not usually too concerned about the 2nd or 3rd shots, just that first one. After that, a conical or PRB might be easier to load in the field for any follow up shots.

Not exactly sure how close a "slayer" is but 385 gr Buffalo bullets shoot real good out of my 50 cal 1-28 GM barrel. Accuracy was good with 70-90 gr FFg, have settled in to 80g for hunting load (90g shot good but kicked real hard).

Whoops, if they are both plastic covered I don't have clue, sorry.

I don't shoot much plastic covered stuff. I got them cheap and figured I'd see how they do.

If it gives me any more credit, I only shoot conical bullets out of one in seven of my muzzleloaders. The rest I feed only roundball.

CVA deerslayer in .50 works real well in my 1 in 48 twist rifle. Probably a good round in .54, too.
Guys, a deerslayer isn't a saboted bullet, it's a sharp nosed hollow based conical. Just lube it up and put a felt wad under it.

I've never hunted with any of the sabots, only conicals and PRB's. I've been very curious about them though, and asked a lot of folks over the last few years. One reply that I kept hearing regularly was "I didn't have to track animals until I started shooting sabots". Those folks switched back in a hurry. I just stayed with what I knew worked for me.
