I have a couple of CVA cap lock pistol barrels that I would like to use to build flintlock pistols with and was wondering if there is any touch hole liners that will fit the threads and sized to simply screw into the drum opening in the barrel? I can cut the barrels off, drill and rethread for a new breach plug, and then install the touchhole liner of my choice, but it's a lot of work and would require shortening the barrels some.

Here's what a few guys have done, make your own;

It's 10mm, but I'm not sure of the thread pitch, bring a barrel to the hardware store and test fit bolts.

Use a stainless steel bolt when you make your liner. Making your own liner also has the advantage of allowing you to locate the touch hole where it lines up best with the pan. It doesn't have to be in the center of the liner.

The screw style will work all right.
The issue is, that the lock needs to fit perfectly if you want the liner coned and drilled in the center. As a result, you will have to layout and inlay the lock much more carefully than normal.
