I just purchased a cva trapper and want to
hunt turkey with it.Is this gun going to
work the barrel says modified .Is 25 yards
a resonable distance to limit shots to?
thanks in advance for any advice.

You should be good to 30 yds or a bit more with the right load if it does have a modified choke. My .20 ga fowler is alright out to just a little over 20 yds. with a cylinder bore.

The old standard was a full choke threw 70% patterns at 40 yards, a modified 60%, and an improved cylinder 50%. Nowadays they seem to be based on the amount of restriction in the choke, and every company has a different idea. :shake:
Of course, with turkey, the idea is to get 7 or more pellets into the head/spinal column to assure the instant incapacitation of the bird. They can get away quick. :shocked2:
