Finally done! The blade is 15n20 and 1095 I think. The billet came from Tim Billups, a hobby knife maker like myself. I used stock removal for this blade, I really prefer to forge to shape, but I was afraid to screw something up! :blah: The handle is deer antler with a brass bolster and a pewter butt cap (button).

Came out very nice..I`d like to steal your idea on the butt cap if you wouldnt mind

that button idea is neat. i capped a dagger i made this week with a washer i welded a piece of rod in to fill the hole and maek a tang of sorts. the button ill have to try.

Thank you very much, gentlemen.

I'm workin on a sheath for this now. I will post when finished. :v

Ranger, NICE WORK. I see the blade etched well for you. Looks like a good fitting handle and what you did on the pommel looks real fine! I see you did a little file work on the spine, it never ceases to amaze me that a small amount of time with a file can add so much class to a knife! Fine work , now you have to make some good memories with it. Wild Eagle

Thank you.

I took my time on this one. I actually did the bolster twice because I wasn't happy with the fit of the first one. I also burned the tang into the handle for a tight fit. I chipped the antler around the pin when I drilled it. :cursing: But other than that, this is the best fit and finish on a blade I've done. :)
