Dating a Kirkland Arms shotgun?

Any idea on if its possible to date them? This is a 16ga double, made in belgium. Great shape except for the cruddy finish which I soon will be taking care of.

Something in the back of my brain tells me those were sold by Dixie gun works.
If they were, i'll bet they would know better than anyone.

I remember my dad bringing some home in the mid to late 70's. Single shot caplock, a flintlock and a couple of double barrels. He purchased them through a local shop, however like Carbon 6 mentioned...I'm pretty certain the were originally sold at Dixie Gun Works.

Looks like a grease hole to me.

clam shell patch box. Its very small though, more for caps than anything.
