i have read that a lot of peaple got their interist in muzzleloading because of the davey crockett movie well i came home from work last night and my 2 boys 4 and 6 were watching it ibought them both toy muzzleloaders for christmas like musketman said he was going to buy his boy thanks musketman for the great idea and they found an old mad bomber hat i had for thier coonskin hat and these 2 boys of mine just knew they were davey.
before work thismorning they finished watching the movie and my 6 yaer old didnt want to believe davey died he was pretty sad when i got back from work tonight they were still playing davey my 4 year old sang the song all day and my wife said thats all they thought about they even want buckskin clothes and we have to buy them coonskin caps. we home school our children and i promised them we would study frontiersmen next week. well it looks like another generation been bitten by the bug.

See, I knew reenacting was playing pretend, only with more expensive toys... :haha:

History is more fun when it's a hands-on experience...
