Small flask with a banded mulberry body, chokecherry ends, and whitetail antler spout:
Body is 2 1/4" X 2" X 4 1/8" with 1/4" wall thickness and 3/8" end thickness; the spout is 1 1/2" long with a 3/8" hole. The very thin soldered copper body bands are let in:
Growth rings match where the hollowed and glued body halves meet. The cross-section isn't a uniform oval; following the growth rings during carving resulted in the finished shape. Bands, ends, and spout are precisely fitted, glued, and pressed into place:
Body bands have a soldered lap-seam, the spout band is one piece. I find a simple cork the least likely to come out during use and do supply the one shown. Finish is by plane, chisel, file, stain, steel wool, burnishing and wax:
I'm asking $45.00 and request buyer pay the USPS shipping. Happy to answer any questions, and thank you for for looking!
