Do a search on ebay for "deer antlers" or "deer horns". There are a bunch of people selling them in bulk or groups of 5 or 10 racks at a time - after you wade through all the head mounts and knife handles and art sculptures. And some of those sellers can be contacted direct or through their ebay store for working out a deal for the sizes/shapes you specifically want.

Also check with the local butcher's shops that advertise processing of deer durint hunting season. They may have some antlers available - from people that don't want them back from their deer. A lot of single, broken, or malformed antlers become available this way.

And also check with a Fur Buyer/Dealer in your area. They often buy antlers along with the deer hides.

And a final note. Posting an "antlers wanted" ad in a local shopper can be very productive.

Good luck on your search.

I've always acquired my shed antlers the old way, finding them out in the woods... :winking:

I would love to hunt for sheds but finding a place to hunt or GET PERMISSION TO HUNT in my area is tough. When I was a kid you could stop at any farmers field and go gun hunting but any more no one will let you on there land. Myself I think it has something to do with all the city people moving here from Detroit and Chicago.
I have gotten them from Ebay but it hard to find what I want, when I want it. The Hide and Fur thing looks like it may work for me,
Thanks to you All.
Jeff

You might want to try attending Pow Wows. I always hit the local ones and you never know what might turn up. The nice part is you get to look over the antlers and see what feels good in your hand. I pick them up for around $5-$6, which is cheap for a good handle on a hand made knife.

I get all my Antlers from the Deer themselves. You have to shoot them first cause they aren't all that fussy about giving them up otherwise.... :winking: :hmm:
I figure if you found an "Old Guy" that can't hunt anymore he might have some stashed away somewhere.......

I could do that but that leaves me with enough for 6 knives a year if I knock down a nice sized buck in each gun, muzzle loader, and bow season. Now I don't bow hunt so now were down to making 4 knives a year at best. Now unless your willing to pay 1250.00 dollars U.S. for all four on my knives I need to make more that 4 knives a year to supplement my income. So again, now were back to buying antlers. But I do thank you for your input.

ya can go to somebodys house by ya that feeds the deer in there yard that ya see deer all the time....if he's an old guy that don't hunt he might give the sheds from his yard....i got a couple that way too..............bob

You know what is sad, I live across the road from a two hundred acre bean field but the guy won't give any one, not just me permission to go over there. I can look out my front window and watch deer all year long, I see Turkey, Pheasants, and Geese. You would think he would like someone to thin out the animal population. They have to be eating him out of house and home.

the best place to find this is at alpha knife supply

They are super good to work with and very professional. They also have images of the product that you will be receiving so you know exactly what you will get. They frequently make additions to the website to.
