I have been thinking about making an oddball sort of firearm. You could call it an updated version of the Mississippi Pocket Rifle. I'd call it my Bay State Pocket muzzleloader.

I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions as to methods of attaching a detachable wire stock to a pistol frame? Also, any sort of plans for a wire or metal framed stock would be appreciated? Thanks.

That might be a federal law.

There were several early handguns that had detachable shoulder stocks.

I think that is one a those flakey deals that you can go get a special permit for so many $$$, but they register you. Its like a sawed off shotgun. I think it costs $25 to get a permit to circumcise one, but then you have your fingerprints on another card and you have an inch thick stack of rules that goes along with it.

I have given some thought to that type of thing. The federal
laws don’t regulate black powder guns to bad.

This is some paper work I did.
Removable screw barrel, spring wire stock, low-priced parts.

What have you got in mind?

I would probably research a few of the shoulder stocks that the military attached to various pistols and revolvers. A hook into a notch on the buttplate, and a thumb screw into a thumbplate would seem to work to me.

You know of a lock/receiver supplier? I've thought on something similar using a spare centerfire rifle barrel

Well if it's a no-no which it isnt they would be picking up some of the 1,000,000 underhammers shown on here the last year or two  Tinker2 is that one youv made? It is a real nice one, looks like it would be easy to make stock. Fred :hatsoff:

I sort of figured out something rather innovative and unusual. I plan to have a metal plate that attaches to the base of the grip have a metal tube welded on the bottom. It will be threaded for a metal rod that will be part of the stock attachment.

When it comes to fruition, I will have to post a picture of it.

No, just a picture I made on the computer.
Due to health reasons, thinking and planing is about all I
do anymore. I thought that it might be an easy one to make.
