I went over to a buddy's house today and brought the 12 gauge. I tried some oxyoke prelubed patches, and the results were so promising, I'll never go back to those hand cut flannel shirts again! 80 grs 3f, .70 ball, .10 patches, kept all the shots in an 8 inch circle at 25 yrds. I'm ready for biathlon now! he had never shot a flinter before, and was so impressed he had his wife come out to take pictures.nice way to start the new year.

With time and a little extra tweaking, that group will shrink even more...

Sounds good...I happen to use the OxYoke precut/prelubed patches as well...FYI...they're also sold under several other names too, such as TC, CVA, Traditions, Remington, etc...if you see a bag of plain cotton or pillow ticking patches with Wonder Lube 1000 or Natural Lube 1000 on the label, they were made by OxYoke for resale under those other manufacturer's labels.

Congratulations on your good start!

Some pillow ticking from Walmart lubed with olive oil will work just as well and it cost practically nothing. Wash the ticking before use and cut your patches square with scissors.
