Jess's new name, Digger.

I lost a crippled rabbit today. Nice big fat healthy one too . Its a shame and I'm not happy about it.
Jess tried her best for me to near exhaustion so I called her off.
Next we went and sat over looking a wood with springs in it. A fox is living in there and I missed it a couple of weeks ago with my levergun so we returned tonight after rabbit hunting with the Pedersoli faux trade gun.
As darkness fell the fox started barking in his safe wood. A dog fox. He never showed though and it got to dark so we went home.
Blast it, now I gotta do it all again

Was Quail hunting when I was a kid (Looooooooooong time ago) hunting with my dad came across a feral cat I didn't shoot it when the dogs went on point and the birds flushed the one I shot that darn cat ran in and got it before I could get to it. Everthings got to eat
