Anyone going to the Gunmaker's Fair? It's July 28, 29, and 30 at Dixon Muzzleloading Shop, Kempton, Pa. Lots of nice stuff to see.
I plan on going Saturday, the 29th. If you guys want to get together for a forum group photo how about meeting up on the hill near where the cannon demos are held at noon. I'll be wearing my Mosby T Shirt.
See you there.
If you need directions go to Dixon's website, www.dixonmuzzleloading.com

We can meet here, just not in front of the muzzle.

I'll be there - but also not sure whether Fri. or Sat. :hatsoff:

How about EACH day, MLF members can meet at the cannon at noon? Three group photos and then Musketman can merge them all together! :winking:

Maestro

Great idea. You think Musketman could work his magic on the photos and make us look better, or at least younger?

I hope the weather is nice this year. I am planning on attending some of the seminars this year. I have invited several friends from work to attend. The one guys kids want to try powder horn makeing.
I am looking forward to Christmas in July.

The only problem with the fair is you save your money all spring but after you look around you can't decide what to spend it on. You always find 5 things you want but just enough money for one.
But even if you don't buy anything it's still a great way to spend the day.

Couldn't agree more, John, and I know my grandson will be coming along this year, so the wallet will definitely be thinner. After last year's fine weather, you have to hope we'll get two years in a row of mud free parking in the lower field. Sometimes I think Reading is way too close Dixon's! See you there.

Can I be in the picture, too? I want the younger and prettier part.
We will be there setting up on Thursday. Come by and visit for a spell if you get the chance. Chuck has been putting us down by the parking lot.
We are easy to find.

I'm sure you'll fit in the picture just fine. How about I take the younger part in the picture and you can have the prettier part?

hope to run into some of your fine folks at dixion's we'll be there friday myself and old jacob and the wives ....( to make sure we don't spend too much ) have a safe trip all see ya there at the cannon at noon

Plan on riding the bike up if weather is OK.Last year was my first and I plan on being back for more!

I'll try to be there Saturday and I will look forward to meeting you good folks.

:hatsoff: With all the talk regarding Dixon's no one has suggested a time & place to meet---so I'll make the suggestion of 11:00AM by the cannon on the hill. Any other suggestions ???, let's make a definite rendezvous time, because trying to look for a tee-shirt in that crowd is like trying to pick out a squirrel in the woods with the grey tail. :applause:
