This might be a tired subject,But I am thinking of attending the dixon's muzzleloading thingymajiggy in july (?) over in pennsievany and takin a coupla horns and such. Anybody know if they allow primitive camps or what kind of set up you need? Anyone else going? Any information appreciated, hate to go at 8 mpg for a bust! Shoot I might be too low class for 'em to let me in anyhow!

Mornen Wolf, I have helped work the Dixon's event for awhile now n its not yer regular Vous type event. Like Bob said yer best bet is to call Chuck n talk to him personal. There is no camping on site(so to speak)there just isn't room and Chuck doesn't want to get into that end of things. The Faire is awsome with so much to see , seminars to attend and just general stuff to buy. You can find everything from custom guns, clothing, material for crafts of the period, pretty much anything ya can think of. Now I can tell ya for fact that even if the weather is lousey it will be crowded and worse if the weather is nice. There are folks there that come all the way from Europe, met a fella from Australia one year it is a well know event. I probably won't make it this year as the wife has us set up to go to Alaska the last week of JUly n into Aug. Be the first one i've missed in many years. long story short- it's worth yer trip to attend. YMHS Birdman

Birdman,
If you are going to Alaska in Aug, does that mean you will still make Elverson or will the wife require you to miss that also so you have money left for your trip?

:blah: Evenen Z, I should make it to Dave's indoor. Thing is I've heard he is changeing it to somewhere in Fredrick Maryland. I need to contact him to find out for sure. Gonna be a much longer drive n hope the weather is nice so the driving is easy. He mentioned it back in the fall but I haven't talked to him in a couple months to mlae sure. He said that he might get a better response from folks coming in down that way since he has held it up north for so many years. I'll try to get hold of him here shortly n get back to ya with any info I come up with. YMHS Birdman
