Dogbone Bowie handle construction?

I’m looking for examples of American made Dogbone pattern Bowie’s, with the handle broken or removed, to base a build off. I need to know the handle construction. Anyone have some pics?

This is not a Dogbone but the construction is the same, this is the only way if you are going to use a guard. search frame handle construction for better pictures.

No, It's a custom, not one of mine, just trying to help the OP out. You usually find frame handle construction on higher end knives.

That's how I make my hidden tang knife handles.

I made one a few years ago but I don't know how to post photos so I used a stock image

As you can tell, the butt end has a cover to match the tang but the way I did it was different. I used a mortised tang- as others have shown and then made a "false tang" that slid over it- so you end up with a butt wider than the slot for the guard- if that makes sense.
