Started as a .45 kentucky I'm assuming?View attachment 202666This is a little kid sized rifle made from a bucket of bits and pieces bought from a gun shop (tv remote for scale) no special tools and it shoots well. There were 4 different locks all missing parts that made up this one. As I recall I have about $12 in this ($5 for the rear sight).
Old cva .45 which requires a .437 ball. Made it for my son when he was 7-8. Got the bucket of parts from a gunsmith who wasn’t fond of muzzleloaders. Still have a pistol barrel and stock blank and a couple of frizzens from that bucket . My son is 33 now.Started as a .45 kentucky I'm assuming?
I do not have any picture. I gave it to my oldest grandson last year and he lives in Seattle which is several thousands miles from my home. But I will text him to see if he will send some photos. How bout pictures of that sawed off Kentucky!
I'm all in, but, if you don't post any pics, I'm never speaking to you again. Just saying. The gun I plan to use is just an old gun I got in a trade that is kinda rough inside and out barrel wise but not to bad. Stock is fairly decent, especially if refinished. I've nearly a dozen other .50's of similar length and twist so I was looking to just have something different. Figured I took it on about $50 worth in trade so why not!
Oh great! Another muzzleloader I need.Amazing how well Google works sometimes
This should give you proportions:
