Figured that when the double-percussion came out it was only a matter of time! Does look a lot like a double flint French naval pistol on one of Neumann's books. Slap a coat of brass on that sucker!! :haha:

Good stuff Scalper. I'm surprized that it is already on the Middlesex Website. We negotiated it awhile ago and also are waiting the first sample of this new baby in South Africa. There will be two more guns. An affordable 12GA double barrel percusion shotgun and a 20ga Double barrel Flintlock fowler. Can't wait. Titus, Heinrich and other friends encouraged me to negotiate these guns. There you have the exciting backround story. It is great that friends all over the world are just as excited as we are about these guns.

Hey and this time you didn't hear it from me, even though I have known since before I shut down the Howdah thread. Someone asksed me keep it on the down low and that's what I done.
Sorry Scalper really wanted to tell you about this since you were so excited about the Howdah. But a man's got to keep his word!!
Besides didn't want all the :bull: that came with the other thread. This ones on you Scalper since you started the thread! :rotf: :rotf:
Hey, bit ifin you need another dog in the fight, just holler!! :rotf: :blah: :rotf: :rotf:

Sure proved yourself as a man of his word, Cliff. Been kinda hard for myself to keep my trap shut. Even Titus and Heinrich passed the test. :hatsoff:

I'm missing something here. What is the reason for "keeping it on the down low"? I don't see the point. What's all the secrecy about - why do the manufacturer's feel they have to hide things from their customers?

mykeal,
It was just that this was a pilot project the gun is not tested yet and we did not want to make to project known before it was tested. Do not want to get ourselfs caught like this

Interesting to see how news travels around the world. Very difficult to keep your trap shut about something like this. :haha:

Afterwards when it comes out and you tell someone: "I actually had a finger in that there pie..." You get that "yeah whatever" look... :rotf:

She sure is a beaut. Cant wait to see what the others will look like. :v

Yep, you sure had a finger in the pie. If it is not as nice as it looks you are also to blame. :rotf: :rotf:

I spoke to Anil in India today and he says the response is overwhelming from the US. They will start production very soon for all the excited customers. :applause: :applause:
There will be a sample in the US and a sample in SA by the end of the month.

Oh, Lord! A shiny new toy! Why must you scoundrels tempt me so? :haha: That looks really fantastic!

Wow! Two 8" .62 barrels! Hold on and enjoy the ride! :shocked2:

The price on these will be $399, which is more than other pistols, but you have to remember there are twice the locks and twice the barrels.

The protoype shown in the photos is in a plane headed for the US as I type this, and if nothing goes wrong at customs the pistol will get it's first public debut at Fort Ticonderoga this weekend.
