Looking for places that have these from time to time. So far the leads I've recieved thus far have all but fizzled. A new custom double fowler is not out of the question. Mike Brooks posted he made one in an older post however I'm unable to email, if you see this my email is [email protected] in the summers, or my home email [email protected] starting oct when I return north for the winter.

I also contacted Ed Palmer and they (Ed and his partner) are not making any smokepoles anymore. He possibly does have one used that I'm interested in purchasing. However I wont see anything of it till october at the earliest as I wont be back north till then. Fall's fast approaching for us as waterfowl season opens up sept 1 and is basically over by oct 1, sometimes sept 20 to 25th when we start to freeze up. I'd like to never hit the woods with my pedersoli again if that is possible!!!!

I don't know if she is taking orders yet, but Suzie Biccio of Muzzleloader Builder's Supply makes a gorgeous double - expensive but worth the money I'm sure. http://www.muzzleloaderbuilderssupply.com/

Mark, where? I looked all over their site and couldn't find it. Now, I am not the most savvy computer guru in the world either.

I'd be really sure to handle one before investing. I like the concept, but for me to spend much on a custom gun I would have to be absolutely certain that its handling qualities suited my needs and style. It would be worse than a shame to invest in a great gun, then discover you were unhappy with the handling.

I'm getting ready to send our very own ( Roy) Stock locks, and Barrel for a double 12 percussion.

I was going to attempt it myself from William Brockways book but due to work schedual, and lack of tools decided our Friend Roy was the man for the Job.

TB..

Apart from the current Italian doubles, and the original guns in shooting condition that surface from time to time, there don't seem to be too many options.
Using the Brockway approach, I have breeched up an old set of 12 ga. Belgian barrels from a bl gun. Rather than make a hook breech unit, I milled a recess into the top of the plugs, and fitted a tang. It will be necessary to remove the tang screw to separate the barrels from the stock. Successfully proof tested the barrels with double charges of powder and shot, firing each barrel twice, this past week. Being satisfied that the barrels and breeches are sound, I will now order a pair of L&R late style flintlocks. Didn't want to buy the locks until I knew that the barrels were good.
