Hello, have been doing a bit of reading about the english and American made pistols(horse pistols) for the dragoons. WHile I understand that the english made one both light and heavy and the Americans made a semi-clone of uit also for issue to the light dragoons. IS anyone aware of anybody that maeks these for a kit build or perhaps a site with some specific info and maybe some dimensions on them. Would like to have a pair of them. Thanks alot, Craig

middlesex village trading co. sells them, not sure if in kit form or not: http://www.middlesexvillagetrading.com/

also, Loyalist Arms sells them, again, not sure if they have kits or not: http://www.loyalistarms.freeservers.com/

you may be able to contact them to get dimensions at least.

Check this out. http://www.therifleshoppe.com/(620).htm

This would be more authentic then the India imports. Getting the parts, finding someone to assemble the lock from castings, etc etc might take years and about $1500. But what a fine example of kings pattern land service ordnance you would have!

For about $300 one of those India imports should be fully functional, suitable for a reenactor and fun to shoot.
