Draw Success In Arizona Elk!

Three of us put in together this year on the same tag. Five chances and we got drawn for Muzzleloader Bull Elk in my favorite hunt unit! So excited. The unit is a non motorized area so it's a bit more challenging to get into and out of. Makes for smaller numbers of hunters as well. Last time I was in there I saw all sorts of good animals. Wish us luck.

Good luck! When does the season start? With 3 foks ya'll should bring one out. Also what are ya'll hunting with?, period clothes?.

The hunt will be Nov 30 to Dec 6th. I carry a GPR 54 my brother in-law carries a Thompson Center 50 and my Father in-law carries one of those other unmentionables. As for period clothing no I'm a weenie and use modern camo. Mostly to stay warm at the altitudes we hunt. We will probably be camping in snow if the weather stays true to form. At any rate this gives me an even better reason to be out shooting to get ready. My wife likes elk Steak so she'll be encouraging me to be ready this season.
