Hey Gents and Ladies, here's a tip I came up with today to make those cap tins look old timey. I can't abide the modern look of the CCI ones I have, so I went online and printed out a good picture of an old label (after sizing appropriately) cut them out and glued them on the lid. Looks way better. This of course just for those who like me are anal about pc equipage.

Gee, thats a lot of work. Most people I know just throw the cap tins in the fire (after removing the caps) and then brush them off to give them that old time look! :idunno:

I know some folks, like myself, have trouble getting the dang things open...so I just put a small hole in the lid and put a piece of leather thong in it with a knot on the inside...I've even seen old drawer pulls used as handles.

Spotted Bull. I also have trouble opening tins so I have a local shoe repair shop save me all of his empty shoe polish tins. They have a nice little "opening lever" on the side.

They say neccesity is the mother of invention. I say despiration is the mother of substitution! :idunno:

I used some old leather stamps to stamp a B for balls and P for patches on a couple I have made. Will try to post pics later.
