I'm in the process of converting 4 m1835/40 Springfield repro flintlocks to percussion using the Nippes Maynard tape primer conversion.

These conversions were used at the historic site I curate during 1852-54 and we would like to use them in our interpretive programs onsite. I've converted the lockplate and did all the necessary drilling and tapping for the conversion, but I'm unsure about drilling the bolster.

My question is this: does anyone have photos of a jig they made/use for the purpose of drum bolsters? With the bolster being as long as it is on these conversions any derivation off of 90 degrees would affect the 'tightness' of the end result (gaps, etc).
