Those of you who have built, or are building a precussion gun may have seen the Drum Drilling Jig offered by Dixie, Track of the Wolf and other supply houses. Years ago, I bought one of these and I just finished using it to drill and tap the drum on the new pistol I'm building.
While the experience is fresh in my mind, I thought I would pass on something about the one I own. I'm sure it is similar if not identical to all of them.

Thanks, Zonie, for your very useful write-up on the nipple drilling fixture.

I think the drilling jig is a great idea, since what are the chances that a drum with nipple fitted will line up with the hammer and be properly seated against the barrel? Fair to so-so if you buy several and try for fit.
