I bought some at Walmart to make a weskit out of and have a lot of scraps left. Would it make good patch material? Any other uses?

Wildatheart I bought some called indian canvas at Jo-Ann Fabrics afew years ago still have a lot left,it will patch every rifle I have,I bought some pillow ticking at wall marts and they are about the same. I have some old pillow-ticking and it is too thick for my guns, the new is not as heavy.I would try some, you will be able to tell real quick. Dilly

I would like to find some samples of 8,10 amd 12# Duck canvas. What does Wall-mart Carry? I need some .030 patch material.

I found a site that sells OZ. and #, but don't want to buy a yard of each to check the weave and size.

Take your mike to Walmart, our local store has one variety that mikes about .030 and one that goes about .028". Their Pillow ticking runs about .018" and what they pass off as denim is about .015". Old blue jeans run .030 to .032", and that is what I call denim.
