After 20 years in a box in my hobby room I dug out my Trapper pistol today. I cleaned it first happy to discover no corrosion. I was shooting 25 grs. of FFFg Goez w/ Hornady .490 round balls on top. Groups were at 15 yds. off hand. I have to say it was the most fun I've had in a very long time at the range.

Time to get out my Uberti's...

good shooting :thumb: . got mine finished over the summer, balls are cast. already to shoot mine, cant wait.

Good shooting for offhand. Those are pretty good pistols for the price and will shoot good for a long...long...time.

How is the lock on that? Good ignition?
I bought the same gun a few years back. On mine I had to have them replace the frizzen right from the start. Traditions was very responsive and sent a new one out right away. Now it throws good spark and is reliable.

I also had to shoot it a bunch to soften the sharp edges on the lands.

Very happy with mine now.

I too have been wantin one.Should have pulled the trigger a couple years ago when I could have gotten one for 3 bills. They have really gone up in price.
