I was just looking at Larry's website and WOW he has added quite a few guns since I last looked. I really like the German Short Rifle. Anyone own one of these or handled one? Thanks.

Yes - he has added a lot of photos and styles since my last look. Some really beautiful stuff, for sure and I am even more tempted than ever by the Cumberland Fowler. Thanks for bringing this to my attention - I think.

I have owned and built one of his guns and yes the value is outstanding and Larry is quite the guy and his wife is also a great lady , I went to his shop and visited him with my family,I bought a virginia barn gun from him in .54 cal smooth bore with sliding patch box , but a good friend of mine wanted it so bad that he traded 800.00 for it ::, as for the german short gun thats new I'm going to visit his site today and check out whats new , by all means check out his stuff he likes to kee-p prices down for his customers. bb75

I'm considering a kitgun from him. Does anyone know how long the backlog is? Someone said on an earlier thread that it was well over a year, but I believe he was talking about a finshed rifle and not a headache... er, I mean kit.

Big Bore 75,
How hard was his kit? Was the stock pre-inletted? How much fitting was involved? Thinking about ordering a kit but I am terrible at fitting locks. Wood is really hard to put back. I wish they made wood welding rod. ::

Pillow tick era's kits are almost completely finished you will have small amounts of inletting on areas that is a bit tight but with a little care you'll have a nice rifle or smooth bore, his in the white are almost complete everything is assembled all you have to do is a little more sanding and then stain and finish the wood and brown or let the in the white steel drown themselves they are real easy to work on and larry will talk to you and guide ya if you need help . hope this helps you. bb75
