Howdy folks, Two Feathers here:

I have another smaller Elk antler pan primer. The price is $50.00 USD$’s shipped to your door in a padded envelope to anywhere in the actual 50 United States. I cannot ship this item to Canada, due to wildlife conservation laws.

About 75% of the inside is hollow. Filling will require some kind of a small funnel. You fill it through the removable valve. Just unscrew and remove the push valve, the threaded insert stays permanently in the antler, it WILL not come out! Be careful not to lose the little spring, then fill through the insert, screw the valve and spring back in and you’re ready to prime your pan. I have no way of knowing for certain (I have no 4 FFFF powder here), but my customer told me that the one he bought, which is very close to the size of this one, held a BUNCH of 4FFFFg powder, my best guess is, this one will hold enough powder for about 80- 100 shots? Each “push” of the valve into the flash pan will dispense 3 grains of 4FFFFg powder. DO NOT attempt to use powder larger than 4FFFFg! That will jam in the valve. It was NOT designed to dispense ANY powder larger than 4FFFFg.

The base is Curly Maple. It has been treated with Aqua Fortis and Linseed oil to bring out the beautiful grain of the wood. I painstakingly tacked in the wooden plug with very tiny, solid Brass nails. The short tine has been drilled through for a carry thong. The antler has been “Cleaned” but left natural for a rustic look. I did polish whole antler and base cap just a bit.
Please buy American and support our local Craftsmen. Thank you.

The best measurements I can give you are 4.25” long (from the base of the valve to bottom of wood at the longest point. It’s 3.5” wide at the widest point across to “Y.” The thickest part of the cavity (using digital calipers) is .820” The tape measurements, are close, just in case you needed to know for fitting inside your bag, if you decide to carry it there?

All I ask is…before you buy, think it over. Do I really need this? I realize that does NOT sound like a good sales strategy, but this primer is worth it. It will save you a few seconds of priming during your next hunt, where a fast second shot could mean the difference between a Deer, or NO deer? Also; this primer will be a great addition for a Rendezvous, or shoot? They’re a fantastic time, money, and aggravation saver. NO more dropped priming horn, spilled powder, or lost plug. The first one I made got snapped up by a repeat customer almost before I had it finished! He’s very happy with his, I’m sure you will be too!

I cannot ship this item to Canada! All prices are in USD$ to the 50 United states. I prefer PayPal; but I also accept postal and bank money orders. MO’s will add 1 week for travel time. I ship same day as funds are received, the exceptions are Federal holidays, Sundays, PO hours, and severe weather.

If interested PM me here. As always, thanks for looking.

God bless:

Beautify work TwoFeathers. If I didn’t already have a couple primers I’d buy this one in a heartbeat. A guy would be the envy of deer camp showing up with this during flintlock season.
