One mule deer hide , approximately 42"x22". One elk hide, approximately 45"x36". Shipped to you for $260. Keep i mind that it would cost at least this much , just to tan them today. These hides were commercially tanned. These hides came from game I harvested , fair chase on public land.

I am interested, I do some leather work, but usually I buy by weight or thickness. I am familiar with deerhide, usually around 3oz weight, but I have never used elk, how much thicker is it than deerhide? Twice as thick?
Thanks, rusticbob

I would say , approximately twice as thick. The elk hide is for sure a thicker heavier hide.
