I think this topic was recently covered but I can not find it when I do a search so appoligies up front for the rehash. I need to buy some English flints (7/8" by 1"). I checked with Northern Rifleman and the shipping is outrageous! Is there another quality resource with reasonable cost and shipping prices? The shipping on a $16 dollar order was $7.

I'd suggest checking with Cains Outdoors in West Va...call Ed Cain there...he was good enough to coordinate the latest large bulk order from England...did a service to Flintlock shooters by passing on the flints at cost...minimum quantity of 50 at that cost price...the special ended in September, but he may still honor it if you say you were referred to them by an Internet website...worse case, it a good source for Tom Fuller black english flints at normal or better prices

Try Track of the wolf, flints are made by Tom Fuller, they are english and are less than $1.00 each. Don't know about shipping though. They are a great flint, I use them and like them.

There are only four sure things....death and taxes, shipping and handeling, Try track of the wolf, they will sell you a bunch of flints and only charge reasonable shipping. Buy a bunch of flints to keep shipping low.

I'm with Stubert and wechlo. I just received a batch of English flints from Track of the Wolf. They are beautiful and very reasonably priced.

Just to be clear, there is only one source for Tom Fuller hand knapped black english flints...and that's Tom Fuller in England.
TOW gets their TF/BEFs from the same guy...Tom Fuller in England.
I personally arranged the huge bulk order flint buy between Cains Outdoor and Tom Fuller.
Thousands were purchased...bought 500 3/4's for myself...kind of hard to beat cost price.
Cains has some left...if you want to pay twice the price at TOW...go for it :shake:

STUBERT 7/8 X 1 less than a buck apice not at track of the wolf. if you find them for less than a buck apice let me

TOW has them in all sizes cheap. I ordered mine from there. Also, there's a feller on Ebay selling english flints for a good price. I've seen a number of sizes listed so far. If TOW doesn't have your size, you might check there.

I've heard from Cain's...all the special bulk buy flints have sold...said they're probably going to pull together another big order after the holidays

Hey Roundball, I tried to find their website and can not. I had it book marked and that is not working these day either. Anyhow, thanks to all.

I talked to them yesterday and they had just realized the site is down...will get it going shortly...the way they ran the last bulk flint order was over the phone not on the website...any prices on their website were their old original prices anyway
