Hello forum. I have a free Euroarms 1858 that needs some parts; nipples, grips, and likely some internals. Someone tried to do a trigger job on it and its reportedly not reliable. It's been disassembled for a while now, and I have all the parts. I don't want to go too crazy with it as the bore has some pitting, but would like to get it back together. I had fun stripping the old blue off, and gave it a subtle aged white patina. It looks pretty good, but is obviously useless, lol. Any help with a parts source would be appreciated. Love to get it working again. Thanks, tk

Nipples are the easy part, Track of the Wolf will have nipples that fit and I'm sure an aftermarket grip maker will have Euroarms plastic grips.....luckily they screw on and aren't really fitted, so a set of Pietta or Uberti grips could probably work but wouldn't be perfect.
Uberti internals may be able to be fitted but parts are expensive especially if they may not even work. By the time you get a bolt, hand , trigger, hopefully not a hammer....or any of that you could be half the price of a new Uberti deep on the project
Euroarms parts are very difficult to find and probably came out of a broken or hard used gun that was parted out.
If it were me I'd make it look cool, maybe antique it some more, look for a pair of dinged up Pietta grips off Ebay or maybe a member here with a box full of odds and ends has a set for a few bucks.....and just use it as a display piece .
New 1858's are relatively inexpensive and common , it's probably less headache to just pick one up for $300 and have fun with it

It will be a cool wall hanger next to some other brick a brack .
Not sure how much fitting but Cabelas carries Pietta internals kit. Might be a try. If they have them.
My older 1858 wouldn't accept the Newer 1858 cylinder. I honed about .005 off back of barrel and frame and they work fine. Gave it near nothing cylinder gap.
Hopefully that's about the amount you will have to trim here and there.

I just dug out the parts bag. The hammer looks pretty filed on, crudely, where it engages the trigger. IIRC, the action did not always engage when cocked. Unsafe for sure. Probly needs a hammer. Also, the grip was basically a roll of duct tape over the frame. fun.

Oh no, that sounds like a mess.....you'd be in more than a new gun costs. Definitely a decorator piece now
S&S has about the only parts I'm aware of. I have an older Euroarms Remington which needed a hammer. A friend fitted a current Pietta hammer which first had to be narrowed to fit the frame (belt sander) and then the normal smithing after. It looks good and functions fine. Cabela's used to have Remington & Colt internal parts sets including a hammer and had the best price too but I can't find them on the current site.

I looked at cabelas as well, and also could not find the parts sets. S&S doesn't have much. The Pietta hammer might be worth a try; I have the technology to skinny things, lol. again, I don't want to go too crazy considering the bore condition.
