Well guys it,ll soon be time to find a duck or pheasant or fat squirls.
Just taken the dog for a walk on dusk and seen scores of geese traveling to their night roost-man it does stir a hunters soul. I keep handling my Peder double dreaming of my spaniel bursting a pheasant out of a holly or hedge-hmmm. Then december time try for a walked up woodcock in timber-truely instinctive shooting-hmmm.
So tell me guys what are you all looking forward to this fall with them their smoothbores

Yeah, wow in just over a month I'll be on the Island again trying for a flintlock smoothbore deer this time. Can't wait!

Yeah, I noticed the cooling trend just this week...temperatures in the mid to high 90's instead of 104*, 105* that we had last week.

Yes sir ee,
It's in the Air!Last week we had a couple of mornings that the temps. were below 40 F heavy vapor in the low lying areas.Makes my Blood pump!Only now for the last 3 days it's hotter than Heck and Humid to boot!Gonna start making my weekend trips into the Camp this weekend till the middle of october then it's Full bore Deer hunting with Blackpowder....Can't wait either!

Down in the 80's here, with nice, fall like breezes. Even had a big old full fall moon this morning, at least until the lunar eclipse hid it. Not sure I'll get the BP guns out this weekend, but I'll be hitting doves and geese Saturday and Monday with the 870's - that smokeless stuff may not make the same nice cloud, but there's something special about passing the first empty hull of the season under your nose.
