Here's something a little different offered by Hornady

Seems to me that thing would cause accuracy problems.
I guess that's why I don't shoot sabots.

Huntin

They are also illegal in many states for hunting. If your out at the range why the need for a quick load?

Fastest way I know of to get a second shot is to load 2 balls to begin with. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That would be fast, all right, but no faster than a paper ctg. & probably not as fast due to the priming being in the ctg. as well.
: My 30" bl..69 rifle was an 8 second load and it was a cap lock, requiring a different operation to cap it. I sue a doubled leather capping 'wheel' with the caps in holes with cuts to the outside. Just push on and pull.
: Barrel length makes a big difference in time required. The longer the barrel, the more time it takes to withdraw the rod andpush the charge down.
: Interesting, with all the technology today, using powder plugs on a stick attached to sabots with jacketed bullets inside, & they still can't improve on the standard military ctg. of the 18th century.- COOL!
; The only thing that's changed is the marketing hype and gullibility of today's people.
