That would be fast, all right, but no faster than a paper ctg. & probably not as fast due to the priming being in the ctg. as well.
: My 30" bl..69 rifle was an 8 second load and it was a cap lock, requiring a different operation to cap it. I sue a doubled leather capping 'wheel' with the caps in holes with cuts to the outside. Just push on and pull.
: Barrel length makes a big difference in time required. The longer the barrel, the more time it takes to withdraw the rod andpush the charge down.
: Interesting, with all the technology today, using powder plugs on a stick attached to sabots with jacketed bullets inside, & they still can't improve on the standard military ctg. of the 18th century.- COOL!
