Father's Day Horn

I had a lady at work come up to me and tell me that her husband (also works there) really likes my work and that she was thinking of getting him one of my horns for Father's Day. Well, after a couple of questions and some discussion, throughout which she just kept saying,"well, I dunno, I just know he has seen your work and likes it...." We finally came to the agreement that I could do whatever I wanted and just let her know how much!
So I figured I'd take the opportunity and finish off another From my Dresslar list

What a great fathers day gift..Very nice!
Got a soft spot for scrimmed aged darker horns.
Did the original have a blunt flat transistion were the scrim stops and the taper starts?..
My eye says a softer blend.

Mine too, except I don't have any kids (or at least no girl has come up to me an said "Your the father!") I do like the darkened aged look of the horn also :thumbsup: .

makeumsmoke, the original had sawtooth engrailing, I had actually alrady dyed the tip before I decided to use it for this project! but thank you I see what your saying there. :hatsoff:

Gus, very nice lines and well executed throat and tip area giving this horn a very nice, pleasing look. Great job. But, importantly, it looks like an antique and it's so refreshing to see a simple step instead of engrailing with a dremel. Even the engraving looks original like on a ton of antiques out there. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see your next project. Keep practicing as you're becoming a damn good horner Gus!
