Faux Tiger Stripe

Anyone know where I can find examples (color) of the Faux Tiger stripe staining method as used by Leman?

Awhile back, I seen that Jack Brooks makes them, and his work is on the cover of the Muzzle Blasts magazine. I don't know how to get in touch with him though.

I like the Leman guns, too.

Check Eric Kettenburgs site. Not a Leman but a good example of painted on false strips in color.

Love Jack Brook's work, but I don't know how he does the false tiger stripe. I've done it once on a Dreppard late Lancaster. Stain first then edge of feather dipped in a black dye such as Feibings for the stripes. Practice first. Very cool. ::

What stain did you use on your rifle?

Ditchburn, which is reddish mixed with a little black to tone it down.
