Oh, don't get me started on that one! for me it will forever be the "Fiasco of the harried moon"! :cursing: Jim, before I get started, please understand the following tirade was not directed at you, nor to the reenactors in attendance, (well maybe some to the Pipers. . read on for clarification :winking: )

I drove almost 12 hours to attend that thing only to brave an army of visitors and bad bag pipers (at 2:00 AM I might add). The parking and accessability was abismal, the accommedations were not suitable for the number of people, camping was over crowded, and the vendors were not as many, nor as varied, as even a second rate trade fair. I see no use for this event other than a money making event for the tippecanoe county historical society, which only uses the participants as the hook for all the tourist dollars.
I give the feast three :bull: :bull: :bull:

Bruce, I think somebody needs a nap! :blah: Sorry but your right, my drive was not as far only about three hours but I know what you mean. The French were horabuly outnumbered. I think there were about seven French Marines and about two thousand British. Its no wonder they lost the F&I war, :applause:

Hey Jeff, did you make it to the feast with La Baye?
the only people who had a worse time than me were those who were near me! :winking:
In order to have shade, I had to give up my area so we could erect our fly; it was under this that I slept while there. early saturday morning I discovered we had pipers behind us! 2:00 in the freaking morning and somebody starts playing the pipes!
I will not suffer that event again.

Oh, and BTW, I don't nap, it's a vision quest! :blah:

It always seemed that whatever group I was with I was the guy who couldn't have the fly or had to give up something just because, I'm not why I guess it was because someone else was in charge, and why the pipers couldn't observe "Quite Time" I'm sure it was because everyone loves the pipes anytime of day or night, just ask any piper, right. That is why I enjoy the small events and trekking more and more. Its like George Washington said in 1763, "The only time your truly free is when your the supreme ruler of the universe" or at least I thing he said it.
Jeff
