Finally finished my Woodsrunner. .50 cal, extra fancy maple, CNC Carved. Very pleased how it came out. Did some shooting and was happy. I really LOVE flintlocks!

Outstanding job! What was your method for getting the patina on your lock and brass parts?
 
Also did you stain under the barrel? That just seems to be a lot of wood to not put a finish of even oil on it?
 
Beautiful rifle! I do not care what anyone thinks on this subject, but a well finished Kibler Kit is every bit as nice as a custom built rifle. I have several customs form top makers like Brad Emig and others, and this rifle (Woodsrunner) is every bit as nice. I may have "bragging" rights and be able to say,my rifle was built from scratch, but at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter! IMHO.
