Or should I say BOOM! The .62 Jager spoke again on the last day of the season and the results was another nice doe for the freezer. This makes six, two bucks and four does. The Mrs got a buck and a doe and I got a buck and three does. That may sound like a lot of meat but our 13 grandkids all love deer meat and they depend on Grandpa and Grandma to get it for them.

Now that we've got our alotted venison to carry the family through until next deer season, I can relax and start enjoying some rabbit and squirrel hunting.

Nice looking deer! :hatsoff:

Did you hear me shoot last night? "Ole Thunder" 73 was pointed your way! :winking:

Just kidding.

BS, No I didn't hear "Ole Thunder" roar last night, I musta had the TV on too loud :haha: Where abouts are you in Michigan?

My Jager, "Ole Bull Knocker" has been makin meat since 1979. It got it's name that year when 170gr of 2FF pushed a .610RB full length of this Ontario bull moose.

Here's the Mrs with my .54 Green River Plains rifle that she used this year. It's front heavy with it's parallel barrel and the pull is too long for her. She got by with it but I've got a custom gun ordered for her.

A local gun maker is building her a Langcaster style purcussion .45cal half stock, with a 26" octagon to round barrel. She's excited about the prospect of having her own rifle next year.
