Finishing up a .45 Kibler SMR

This .45 SMR from a Kibler kit is finished, though I am still lightly oiling and rubbing down the stock.
I modified the comb a bit, sloping it down at the nose, which gives it a bit of a graceful look, I think. I included some simple incise carving and a Hunter's Star on the cheek rest.
The build was pretty smoothly with a few more challenges than the others. Nonetheless, I like how it is looking.
I hope to shoot it and sight it in an a few days :thumb:

I enjoyed looking at your last two builds sure wish I had the talent and skill to build a 32 SMR Kibler but that is not where my talent lies. Enjoy seeing how folks personalize these kits.
 
Nice job. That kit makes a really nice gun. :thumb:

I need to put a little higher rear and front sight on mine for next squirrel season as I really need a bit more drop at the comb to fit me correctly. But it's an easy fix to put somewhat higher sights on to compensate so I don't have to push my head down so much to use the very low sights provided.
