I know this has been brought up over and over again but I would like to get your ¢.02! I started using a product called Howard's Butcher's Block Conditioner a few years ago on knife handles. Rub it in, wait 10-20 minutes depending on temperature, wipe off and repeat. It looks great and holds up wonderfully against moisture. I recently took on a rifle stock to refinish and decided to try it. It took about 8 coats over 2 weeks, would have been faster but I was in no rush. I think it worked well. Has anyone else tried/use this? Success/disappointment? tips or trick?

Generally BB conditioner is food grade mineral oil. It'll work, but you have to keep applying it over time...Bud
