First hunting trip this morning for deer or squirrels...didn't see a deer but spotted a couple squirrels...they each "made me" and disappeared up into the foliage before I could get a shot with the .45 flinter...will try again next Saturday...beautiful morning in the woods though...40 degrees, good acorn crop, leaves starting to float down, woodpeckers doing their thing, hawks screeching overhead, great to be alive!

Well, I'm sure glad those squirrels I saw while deer hunting today disappeared before I took a shot...turns out squirrel season opens Monday the 18th, not today !!

See, the squirrels knew that and was looking out for you...

And you were going to shoot them...

here in Ohio, we have BIG squirrels, your .45 would be under-gunned...
