I shot a 7pt Sat eve with it, has to be my best running shot as of date. Drivers ran him out and he came running on top of spoil bank, stop, saw another stander, stopped behind a tree, came down off bank towards me, hit the road that was below me and ran right up to me,when he saw me he drove off road to right off road right into brush, disappeared, I thought he was going to run around the pit, but all at once he boiled up out of the place and was headed for parts unknown, I had to shoot and shot quick,I did and when smoke cleared I didn't see nothing, I thought I had missed, then seen the roses shaking on ground, he was down. He was about 30yrds when I shot, It hit him in left flank, angled up and broke his back, I put bare ball in and shot him again. I had 80grs 2ff and 495 ball with deerlubed ticking patch. We got a 14pt and another 6 pt earlier that day. I was only one with a muzzleloader, Haven't killed a deer since 2003,I killed 2 does then. Had several chances on does that day and another buck but didn't work out. I told the boy I must be going to get a buck and I did. He was nice sized deer, not as big as the 14pt. I almost got ashot at him. Dilly

ATTABOY and Congrats Boar dilly!!! glad you connected, i'd say the 7 pt. is a bigger trophy than the 14......it's a blackpowder thing..! CONGRATS AGAIN! RC (an pics would be nice..)

Excuse me, but what kind of ML is a Bobcat! Can't find the word in my dictionary.

Kirr,
A Bobcat is a low cost sidelock muzzleloader made by CVA. I think they are all .50 caliber and come with a black synthetic stock.

Bobcats are also a wildcat similar to a lynx.

Many thanks for the information. By the way I'm interested in some closer contact with GPR-hunters.
