I would like to thank all of you for the help I received in trying to pattern my 20ga muzzleloader for the turkey season. I was going crazy for awhile but then I tried the post-it shot cup trick and it tightened my pattern from 6 pellets to 12 pellets to the kill zone at 20 yards. The result this wednesday was my first harvest ever with a muzzleloader. A nice jake at 15 yards down for the count, some people may not get to excited about a jake but that bird may as well have had a 12" beard & 2" spurs because that's how excited I was about it.I don't know how to post pics here but you can see it on my website at www.droptineproductions.net in the photo gallery section. I don't think I'll ever shoot my regular shotgun again, this stuff is too much fun !!! Thanks again guys !!! John

Thanks for the nice report. I am sure it will get better and better as you get used to that gun, and work on your loads. Nothing wrong with a Jake, BTW, and congratulations on getting him so close. He should be good eating. :hatsoff:

any turkey is a trophy, but especialy so with blackpowder birds! of all the ones I've got, I have the most pride in the one I shot with my flinter, even though he was my smallest! congrats.

Congratulations! :hatsoff: It wasn't that long ago I switched to a flinter and I know exactly how you feel. You're hooked now.

Well done, it is a very rewarding experience when compared to modern arms, is a ML deer in the future?
